COMMENTS??

I left a comment on Darrel and Roberta'sblog. Looks like they're off to a good start. in time it gets adictive. The thing is, we don't always have time or the internet available to work on it.

I happen t have time right now because I'm sitting at our OC in Seville, OH...Doing my wash, and shopping walmart. I had to by a new broom, cause someone stole my other one.

Plan to catch up on paperwork as well. I was hoping to get my mainenance done on my truck, but the shop is booked till wednesday next.

Got 180 miles to go, tomorrow morning to Jamestown, NY...not knowing where too next.

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY

darrel, his wife and I turned in early last night @ Jack's truckstop in Cullem, LA. We left out early to deliver our loads at Whirlpool in Cleveland TN. About a 3 hr+ drive over hilly, winding roads. But we succeeded, later than we planned haveing forgoten about the time change west to east..We lost an hour. We got our next loads and parted ways. Them to the QUACKER STATE, me to the VOLUNTEER STATE. It's been raing all day rather steadily.

I got my load delivered, earlier than expected and dropped it at one of our dropyards in Clarkesville, TN.. Got another load for tomorrow, but chose to pick it up today. Going to get my ASSIGNED EMPTY in our dropyard, I found another driver hooked up to it headed for the road. He wasn't very happy when I told him he couldn't take it, to put it back so I could hook up to it.

While I was hooking up, he tried it with two more trailers and got stopped by other drivers as well. He finally called schneider to get a trailer assigned to him, and was told to wait for them to locate one. There's reasons for doing things right.

I then went to SPRINGFIELD, TN to pick up my load, taking it to Columbus, OH for an afternoon delivery tomorrow.

Am shut down at a truckstop at xt112 on I65 in TN. SMALL but a place to lay my head for the night.

LIKE A BAD PENNY

We keep running into each other. This mornig, My trucker friend DARREL, and his wife ROBERTA, met me at our West Memphis OC. His truck was in the shop. After delivering my load south of Memphis, I got another to pickup at WHIRLPOOL, going to CLEVELAND, TN. AS FAITH (no not the girl by the name of Faith) would have it, Darrel also got a load from whirlpool going to Cleveland. Now e're at a truckstop at Cullom, AL, had supper ad taking it easy. I had to apologize to him for the company..HAHA..

This truckstop at exit 304 on I65, is called JACK's. It's a Shell station, good food, small lounge and even a barbershop ("UNIVERSAL HAIR SALON and BARBER")..NICE PEOPLE.

About ready to go to bed, MORNING COMES EARLY.

BACK ON THE ROAD

Spent the weekend resting at home. Sandy had me pick up web card so I could get online whenever I wish. Got back on the road, picked up a trlr in PLANO, IL, A load in MT PROSPECT, il, and am headed to OLIVE BRANCH, MS. Should be there tomorrow about 10 A.M. Resting now at the BP truckstop at MARIO, IL. One of the better ones that I generally stop at. They have a great buffet at a seanior's price... barely $7 for all you can eat, including dessert and drink.

With this new card, I just may keep the blog up more often. TIME WILL TELL!!

LOST 151 LB IN 10 MONTHS

NO NOT ME...I LOST 60 LBS IN 15 DAYS THOUGH..THE TRUTH!!!

I met a gentelman at Fontana today blending vegetables, making juices. As the story goes, he had a number of health problems, besides his weight being well above 400 pounds. He started his diet about 10 months ago, loosing 151 pounds to date. He gave me the names of a couple books related to the diet, and said that he is writting a book as well. Apparently to publish, he has to loose at least 200 pounds. He's well on his way. This is david.

GREETINGS FROM FONTANA, CA

I made it to an early delivery to my drop in San Bernardino. They refused the early delivery, so I relayed it to our OC at FONTANA. I got another load out of ONTARIO, CA to deliver to CHANDLER, AZ tomorrow.

Enroute to deliver here in CA, I managed to be sick (loose as a goose) for two days, but also on the bright side, got time to take SANDY's aunt Vickie out to dinner last night.

Also while on the road, my cell phone kept loosing it's charge. Here at FONTANA, I got over to VERIZON and got a new phone. NOW, back to a learning curve..

Took some fotos over the road of the mountain scenery.
DARREL...say high to your your wife and brothers..

SITTING AT HOUSTON, TX

Another day, another 452 miles. got up this morning and rolled at 4 AM. Picked up my SMUCKER'S at LACOMBE, LA, and headed for a stop at HOUSTON. enroute I had to scale the load, fuel up, and take a shower, clean the buckies, etc...

Tomorrow, I hope to do another 500+/- miles to somewheres between SAN ANTONIO and ELPASO. Maybe even an idelaire spot soon in NM or CA. Time and weather will tell.

GO WEST OLD MAN

Well since my last entry, things have been moving. I did get a load going to CANTON, MS which I delivered this morning. While making the delivery, the consignee pointed out that only half the load was his. SCHNEIDER failed to tell me it was a two stopper. It had an additional 150 miles to be done this day to WAYNESBORO, MS. Not bad-- an 850 miler becomes a 1000 miler, with stop pay.

This situation did put me into a FIFO market though. My trip planner, MICHELLE, indicated I wouldn't get a load out till morning. Well they're deadheading me to LOUISIANA (150 miles), to pick up a load of SMUCKERS going to SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (1800 miles)..NOT BAD.

Called SANDY to tell her I probably won't be home for her birthday in 2 weeks. I had planned to be for that weekend. The fact is though, when they send me that far, it's usually that many miles to come home as well. Will try to take pictures as well.

HEY RAY...missing your BD also. KTBC&PH

ANOTHER MAJOR BREAKDOWN

Sitting in a hotel room near LIMA, OH. Parked at a TA yesterday morning to wait on a load I was to pick up at 4 AM today. Woke up at 3 AM, had my coffee, and went to start the truck to no avail. The mechanics at the truckstop tried as well. Now I'm waiting till tomorrow for it to be towed to FREIGHTLINER. We suspect the computer is the problem.

The load I would have had wad going to Louisiana, nearly 1000 miles. I hope I can get another out of here by tuesday.

I guess the LORD felt I needed the rest!
